Coronavirus and vitamin C food supplements

Vitamin C, of all vitamins, is certainly the most important in the defense of the immune system, especially from flu viruses that cause disturbances to millions of people around the world. The lack of adequate amounts of Vitamin C in our diet leads to a lowering of the defenses of our immune system, making us more vulnerable to diseases of viral origin – and not only.

Vitamin C and Coronavirus (Covid-19)

In these times more than ever, with the Coronavirus emergency worldwide, it is essential to review our eating habits. Even though we have integrated all the vitamins and amino acids that the body needs and practicing enough sports and being relaxed from a psychophysical point of view it must be taken into account that stress can lower our immune defenses. If our body is defenseless, we run the risk of contracting annoying viral influences, which if not properly treated lead to serious complications.

So how to be ready to prevent or at least decrease the chances of being infected by various types of influences? The answer is Vitamin C.

Vitamin C is already being used to prevent and treat COVID-19 in China and Korea.

And it’s working.

Vitamin C and official statements from China and Korea

Here is an official statement verified by the second Chinese hospital of Xi’an Jiaotong University:

“On the afternoon of February 20, 2020, another 4 patients with severe coronavirus pneumonia recovered from Tongji Hospital’s C10 West Ward hospital. The last 8 patients were discharged from hospital … [H] high-dose vitamin C has achieved good results in clinical applications. We believe that for patients with severe neonatal pneumonia and for critically ill patients, treatment with vitamin C should be started as soon as possible after hospitalization. Numerous studies have shown that the dose of vitamin C has to do with the effect of the treatment. Vitamin C administered in high doses not only can improve antiviral levels, but above all it can prevent and treat acute lung lesions (ALL) and acute respiratory difficulties (ARD) “

Here is a report from Korea:

“In my hospital in Daegu, South Korea, all hospitalized patients and staff members have been using vitamin C orally since last week. Some people had mild fever, headache and cough this week, and those who had symptoms were given 30,000 mg of vitamin C intravenously. Some people improved after about two days and most saw their symptoms disappear after one injection only “. (Hyoungjoo Shin, M.D.)

Studies on vitamin C against pneumonia and as an antiviral agent

In China, at least three studies of high-dose intravenous vitamin C are ongoing. Tons of vitamin C were literally sent to Wuhan.

Here is a report from a doctor in China:

“We have to send a message all over the world very quickly: vitamin C (in small or large doses) does not harm people and is one of the few, if not the only, agent that has the ability to prevent us from being infected and to treat the COVID-19 infection. When will we doctors and scientists put patients’ lives first? “

(Richard Z. Cheng, MD, PhD, international leader of the vitamin C epidemic medical support team in China).

“Even small amounts of supplemental vitamin C can prevent seriously ill patients from dying.” [Hunt C et al. Int J Vitam Nutr Res 1994; 64: 212-19.]

“Children with viral pneumonia treated with vitamin C had reduced mortality.” [Ren Shiguang et al. Hebei Medicine 1978.4: 1-3]

“200 mg of vitamin C reduced the duration of severe pneumonia in children. Oxygen saturation was improved in less than a day. ” [Khan IM et al. J Rawalpindi Med Coll (JRMC); 2014; 18 (1): 55-57]

“Vitamin C can really be designated as an antitoxic and antiviral vitamin.”

(Claus W. Jungeblut, M.D., Professor, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons).

Daily requirement of vitamin C

The minimum daily requirement of vitamin C, or ascorbic acid, is around 90 mg for men and around 70 mg for women. 100g of Moringa powder contains 82 mg of Vitamin C.

RedMoringa could therefore be your best ally in preventing flu viruses. Find out in this article how Moringa Oleifera capsules help fighting spring allergies.
